Lake Louisa State Park "Glamping" Review

Chic, comfortable, accommodating, and GLAMOROUS never came to mind before when I thought of camping...that is until I stayed one night in Lake Louisa State Park's Luxury Standard Carefree Campsite. In 24 hours, and for a total of $136 (including tax) I got the perfect balance of camping, full of fishing, grilling, and sitting around the fire, but when it came time to sleep I was snug in a bed.

"Enjoy the excitement of the great outdoors without sacrificing the luxuries & comforts of home."

Glamping at Lake Louisa State Park is an experience like no other. The glamorous aspect of it all extends much farther than the beauty of the tent itself. The service was incredible; the amenities were unexpected; and the experience was memorable to say the least. P3 Lake Louisa was exceptionally communicative during the week leading up to our stay. They informed us on the check in/out process, what is included, as well as recommendations on what to bring and what to do. Upon arrival the rangers were all so welcoming and we had no trouble finding the campsite. We were pleased to find it all set up, as we arrived a bit early for check-in.

The campsite itself includes:

"Luxury Bell tent

Queen bed with euro-top mattress

Linens

Two bath towels

Cooling & Heating Unit

Coffee maker

Bedside tables with lamps

Chandelier

Interior sitting area

Private pavilion with BBQ grill

Exterior seating area with fire pit

Device charging station

Exterior market lights"

*as stated on the website

However, we were pleased to also find some coal and firewood already in the grill and fire pit to get us started, as well as a picnic table on the campsite. We also purchased firewood at the Camper Canteen for $9. While enjoying the park, we fished, grilled, made s'mores over the fire, hiked, and enjoyed watching the sunset as we drove around the park. We brought paddle boards, as well and you are allowed to bring any items you need to enjoy your stay. You can also rent any equipment such as kayaks, canoes, and bikes, or enjoy the excursions, such as horseback riding, and guided tours. The bathhouse was just a short walk from the tent and was as expected, with multiple stalls and showers.

Overall, it was a perfect stay for the girl who loves being outdoors, but not when it comes to sleeping in traditional tents in the middle of the woods. I could not have asked for a better arrangement and this was the perfect little getaway close to home. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable adventure, as it is clear the company truly took the time to make the campsite luxurious as it brings out the camper in all of us.

12/10 highly recommend. Would try again. Tbh deserves more recognition.
