Mother-Daughter Day

Wakey Wakey Eggs & Bakey It's Time for a Girl's Day Out

When your daughter is home a few days for spring break (earlier than the rest of the family) what do you do? Take off work and prepare for a relaxing day full of brunch, mani-pedis, and a trip to the most wonderful place on Earth - Target, of course.

By 9:30, while everyone else was off at school and work, we were out the door and ready for a girl's day. With stomachs ready to be filled with all the best of what comes with brunch. From iced tea and coffee to pancakes and french toast to eggs and grits, First Watch certainly did not disappoint. (Plus, it tastes even better when its a free meal for your birthday!)

Our idea of relaxing? Sitting in a massage chair, with a book in hand, getting the best spa pedicure Clermont has to offer. And for Chloe it also means splurging on a nice gel manicure because its spring break (and her birth month), so why not?

Finally, any great girl's day ends with a trip to Target and any great Target trip starts with a Starbucks Frappuccino. But, for the teenager Target means an opportunity to buy more bathing suits, sunglasses and makeup, and for the mom to buy the family's groceries for the week. Sounds about right!

Once home, we were back to reality. Faced with the chores we left behind, we returned to laundry, making dinner, cleaning and packing. When your daughter is home a few days for spring break, what do you do? Spend as much time together, doing the things you love, relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
